An official remake of 2003 movie The Italian Job,Players is no way close to the original flick.
Abhishek Bachchan plays Charlie who after his late friend’s advice(Aftab Shivdasani) decides to rob a train with gold believed to belong to Romanian Government of WW 1 era.Charlie with the help of Victor Dada(Vinod Khanna) hires players to be a part of his gang.Each players have different background:
Bobby Deol plays an illusionist.
Bipasha Basu as an auto expert.
Omi Vaidya as a make-up artist
Neil Nitin Mukesh as a hacker
Sikander Kher as an explosive expert.
The players meticulously plan the robbery little knowing that they will be ditched by their own team-mate.They eventually take their revenge on the traitor but loosing Bobby Deol.
To sum up the movie is dissapointing.Music is a big let down so are the Players.

The Baadshah of Bollywood is back in his 1st sequel of his 2 decade career.Farhan Akhtar dons his director’s cap after a gap of 5 years.
Don 2 starts where the first part ends.Don has become the new threat for the drug lords across the world as he is able to sell drugs at a price lower than his competitor.Don goes to Thailand to buy his consignment of cocaine but he has to fight his way back as Europeans are after his life.
He surrenders himself to Roma(Priyanka Chopra) and Malik(Om Puri) in Malaysia and there he meets Vardhan with whom he flees from the jail and goes to Zurich then to Berlin.
He plans a bank robbery with his team.He blackmails the Vice President of Euro printing bank Diwan(Ali Khan).Diwan hires Jabbar to kill Don but fails. Vardhan after he comes to know Don’s plan teams up with Jabbar to kill Don after the robbery.
The robbery is successful with some thrilling scenes leading up to the robbery.There is a semi love story developing between Don and Roma.
Shahrukh Khan eases into his role of Don and so does Roma.Kunal Kapoor as a computer hacker is impressive so is Lara Dutta.
A treat for all Don & SRK fans.Action sequence is filmed fantastically.Overall a complete masala movie.Word of Caution-Music dissapoints.

Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt for the 4th installment in the Mission Impossible series.He has been given the task of infiltrating Kremlin and locate files which have codes for nuclear weapons.A bomb destroys the Kremlin and Hunt is accused of masterminding the explosion which leads the US President activated the Ghost Protocol which disavows the IMF.
He leads a team of 4 to find out a Russian nuclear scientist code named Cobalt played by Michale Nyqvist who is after these nuclear codes.
The hunt for cobalt leads Ethan and team to places like Dubai(impressive stunt by Tom Cruise scaling the walls of Burj-Al-Khalifa). and then to Mumbai where he meets Brijnath a rich Indian businessman played by Anil Kapoor.
A fast paced action thriller leaving no room for dissapointment.Tom Cruise cruises in his role of Ethan Hunt with a talented supporting cast.

After the box office success of Band Baaja Baarat,the hit pair of Manish Sharma,Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma re-unite to deliver Ladies vs Ricky Behl.
Ranveer Singh is a con-man who dupes girls and runs away with their money.The movie kicks off in Delhi with Ranveer Singh as a fitness trainer to debutant Pareeniti Chopra.As a conman he cons his girlfriend’s father and flees away.
The second girl in the trap is Dipaanita Sharma who after the instruction of her boss buys a Hussain painting from Ranveer thereby falling into the conman’s trap.
The third girl is Aditi Sharma who plays a muslim widow from Lucknow.She falls for Iqbal (Ranveer Singh) in the cloth selling alleys of Lucknow.
The trio joins and hires Anushka,a sales girl with Home Town,to con Sunny alias Deven alias Iqbal.The movie shifts to Goa in the 2nd half and what follows is an interesting climax.
Ranveer Singh as a con man is brilliant.As Sunny,Deven and Iqbal he essays the role with elan.Music is refreshing so are the ladies.
Caution:Please donot compare it with Band Baaja Baarat.

Reshma(Vidya Balan) born into a poor family runs away from her family on her marriage day.She comes to Chennai and stays with her aunt and searches for a job in Madras Film Industry.She lands up a job as a dancer in a movie and slowly becomes popular as a sex bomb known as Silk.
Naseeruddin Shah(Surya) is an ageing Tamil superstar who gradually falls for Silk.Tusshar(Ramakant) is his younger brother and an aspiring script writer.Emraan Hashmi(Abraham) is an art movie director who hates Silk.
The movie shows progressive love affair of Silk with Surya,Ramakant and finally Abraham.With her image as an sexy girl she rules the industry with box office registering cash on the success of each of her movie.With success comes failure and that leads her to become alcoholic.
Silk commits suicide due to depression as she becomes secluded owing her disowning by her mother and the film industry.
Take a bow for Vidya Balan potraying Silk.She puts life into the character so does Naseeruddin Shah and Emraan Hasmi.The movie definitely belongs to Vidya Balan.
You cannot ignore the music especially the song Ooh Lala……sung by Bappi Lahiri and Shreya Ghosal.A perfect song for 2012 New Years’ party.

Akshay Kumar & John Abraham resides in London and become Male Escorts once they lose their job due to recession.Deepika plays the love interest of John who gets a shock of her life when she finds her boyfriend as an escort.
Akshay Kumar in a bid to save his nephew from joining a foster home offers his service in return for money.He leaves the job of male escort when John asks him to leave his apartment.Akshay resumes his higher studies and their he meets his sexy teacher(Chitrangadha Singh) who happed to be his class-mate.
The story is innovative but it lacks soul.Post interval it becomes boring with few comic scenes.Music is hummable.

Imtiaz Ali has a knack of ensuring that his lead characters fall in love without knowing that they are in love.Watch Jab We Met,Love Aaj Kaal,all these movies have a common theme.Similarly in the case in Rockstar.
Janardhan Jhakar alias Jordan(Ranbir Kapoor) is a small town boy who dreams of becoming a Rockstar.Nargis Fakhri plays Heer,his batchmate in Delhi University.Heer wants to do all crazy thing before she is married off.Janardhan is her partner in crime.
The movie progresses in a sinuous way.Interesting in parts but otherwise boring.Nargis is impressive but Ranbir is a revelation.The manner he potrays Janardhan and Jordan is commendable.The movie has surely made Mohit Chauhan a name to reckon with as a singer.

With a budget of Rs.150 crore riding on it,Shahrukh Khan has left no stone unturned in making his movie a grand success but with a cliched storyline he has dissapointed the audience.
Shekhar Subramaniam (SRK) is a programmer who develops a game for his son.His son wants a game in which the villain should be powerful than the hero.Shekhar names his villain as Ra.1 or Random Access One,a name synchronised with Raavan of Hindu Mythology.The protagonist of the video game is called Good One or G.1.
Shekhar gets killed by Ra.1 as he wants to find Prateik,Shekhar’s son and kill him.G.1 is Prateik’s protector and finally succeeds in killing Ra.1 at the end.
Kareena (Soniya) as Prateik’s mother and Shekhar’s wife is predictable with a change towards the end when Ra.1 infuses his evil powers into her soul.Arjun Rampal makes an appearance in the 2nd half and he does a good job.
The movie is high on special effects with some of them standing out(read Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus scene which was difficult to digest).The music is hummable.
Brave effort by SRK to take Bollywood to a different level,at par with Hollywood, but the story pulls him down.As an actor he had nothing to showcase his acting skills as most of the time he was busy doing stunts.
The movie will be a let down for worldwide SRK fans.
